OUR MISSION

KNOW THE PAST. BUILD THE FUTURE.

The Gudger Black History Legacy Project exists to educate, inspire, and empower by sharing the real history of Black and Indigenous people worldwide -from ancient civilizations to modern movements. We work from primary sources, we cite what we publish, and we keep the core of this platform free.

ACCURACY FIRST

Every article, map pin, and timeline entry traces to a document, a recording, or a body of scholarship we name.

RESPECTFUL INTERPRETATION

Portraits are clearly labeled artistic renderings. We never present an illustration as a photographic record.

ACCESS AS PRINCIPLE

Membership and shop revenue fund digitization so that the archive stays open to schools and families.
